An ECY stack is defined as a combination of ephedrine, caffeine, and yohimbine.

Ephedrine is well-known as one of the stongest fatburners used by bodybuilders and dieters to kick-start a weight loss program. Derived from the ephedra sinica plant, this natural alkaloid boost metabolism and suppresses the appetite.

Yohimbine is an alkaloid from the bark of the Pausinystalia yohimbe tree that grows in Africa. This extract was traditionally used to increase libido and sexual performance.

Yohimbine HCL also exhibits fat-burning properties and is used to enhance energy and athletic performance. However, it may be unsafe and there is limited research available to support its use for weight loss.

Caffeine is highly synergistic with ephedrine and can increase weight loss results. The ECY stack is commonly used as an alternative to an ECA stack, which uses Aspirin or White Willow bark instead of yohimbine.

Yohimbine works on the alpha receptors. Alpha receptors inhibit fat 
breakdown, so wherever they are abundant, you have a harder time 
losing fat in that area. For example, they are in high concentration in 
men’s lower back and abs and in women’s hips and thighs. Yohimbine 
HCL acts as an alpha receptor blocker. Since alpha receptors inhibit
fat breakdown, and Yohimbine HCL inhibits alpha receptors, the net 
result is that you get an INCREASE in fat breakdown. Thus, you get 
a significant increase in fat breakdown directly from an area that 
normally is the hardest place to lose it from. This is one reason why

Studies have concluded that the ideal dosing for Yohimbine HCL is 
.2mg/kg - this would be 20mg for a 100kg person. One thing to be 
considered when using yohimbine HCL is that insulin completely 
blunts its lipolytic effects, thus it should ideally be used on a low-
carb/ketogenic diet, or at the very least, first thing in the morning on 
an empty stomach, followed by moderate aerobic activity for an 
extended period.
